Rudy Project Sterling Helmet - First Look

Go to http://www.gramslightbikes.com/2010/07/rudy-project-sterling-helmet-review.html for a full review!

I just got in the new Rudy Project Sterling helmet for some testing, and it's a pretty sweet looking helmet. It has sort of a Dark Spiderman look to it! I had an earlier prototype, and I was looking forward to trying out the final version of the product. The Sterling is a very comfortable fitting helmet, and has an excellent adjustment system that uses a comfort ring along with their retention dial system called the RSR7. I really liked the RSR7, it pulled very evenly, and was easy to adjust, even with gloves on.

XtremeVu CamClamp and CamLens Review - First Look

I have been testing the ContourHD and the ContourHD 1080p video cameras for a long period of time, and although it has become my camera of choice, their mounting system always seemed to be a bit sloppy in its stability. No matter how I set up their proprietary TRail Mounts “slide and lock” system, which at its heart is basically a multiple tongue and groove connector, it just had a slight looseness within the connector that I could never quite alleviate.

Prologo Vertigo Max Review

I have been out riding the Prologo Vertigo Max saddle for several months now on multiple bikes, and on terrain varying from smooth singletrack, to rough technical rock gardens and everything in between. The Vertigo Max has been incredibly comfortable, and it has made my usual forays into my favorite All Mountain terrain much more enjoyable. "More Cush for the Tush"

Hayes Stroker Grams Review

I have been out cranking and bashing away on a pair of Hayes Stroker Gram disc brakes for almost a year now on my Ibis Mojo. Although they are not the lightest pair of brakes I have used in the ever expanding weight weenie disc brake world, they are quite powerful, with excellent fade resistance.

Kuat NV Review - First Look

Go to http://www.gramslightbikes.com/2010/06/kuat-nv-review.html for the full review!

While I was wandering around in the desiccating heat of the Outdoor Demo portion of InterBike 2009, I came upon the kuat Innovation's booth, in which they were showing off their very trick NV bike rack. Of course, what also caught my eye was the female mannequin, which was overtly well endowed, Brick House! The kuat marketing scheme was something more along the lines of 'Nice Rack'. Justin of Kuat (koo-at) gave me a nice walk through of the rack, and I was very intrigued to test one out. The new NV rack had a plethora (I like that word) of features, first, and foremost, is an integrated bike repair stand, just a simple yet unique idea to add to a bike rack!
