Buff Seamless Headband Review

I have really enjoyed the Buff Seamless Headband, as it's comfortable, light, thin, soft, and warm enough to keep your head and ears insulated and covered when it gets chilly or windy out.

Original Buff S.A. is headquartered in Igualada, Spain, just outside of Barcelona, where they design and manufacture their line of multi-functional, seamless, and tubular headgear. Buff is derived from the word 'bufanda', which means 'scarf' in Spanish. The Headband Buff can be used for multiple sports and functions, and can insulate your head and ears for warmth and wind protection, or keep sweat and hair out of your face and eyes. It is made with 100% polyester with UV protection, and is impregnated with odor control technology. They come in one size, are about 8 inches long (half the length of the Original Buff), and are available in a multitude of patterns and colors.

Just In: IceToolz, Honey Stinger and GoPro LCD

I am going to start a new series of weekly or biweekly articles. The first will be called “Reviews In The Queue”, which will cover products, which are currently being tested and reviewed, meaning the items that are been hammered and used on a frequent basis. It will include a first impression synopsis and a preliminary rating. The next will be called “Just In”, and will be a brief outline of a product along with some pictures.

2wheelogic the US distributor for IceToolz and Nokon, sent along a nice array of headset tools, which is going too very handy for me during my current in depth testing of several forks and the new Cane Creek Angleset. They also tossed in some brake bleeding tools, and I am especially interested in the needle driver. It will hold the brake line and allow a more accurate and less cumbersome manual method of inserting the needle (aka the hose insert) into the hole. The headset tools include a starnut installer, head cup remover, crown race remover, steerer tube cutter, and a headset cup press tool. I tested the head cup remover and headset cup press, and they worked fine, though the press came without any instructions, and it took me a while to figure it out. I am looking forward to testing out these products, as so far they are seemed to be of excellent quality and very tough?

CamelBak Octane LR Review

The CamelBak Octane LR is an incredibly comfortable and trick hydration pack, which features their lumbar Antidote reservoir, which is situated at the bottom of the pack. The design places the water lower on hips and back for stability and comfort. The pack becomes part of your back, at least figuratively, as it conforms to the shape and oddities of your body, and it doesn't bounce around, even when bending forward. The Octane LR uses lightweight ripstop fabric with reinforcement at key areas, and has 549 cu in (9 L) of space with a 70 oz (2 L) Antidote Reservoir. It's an ideal pack for mountain biking, trail running and adventure racing.

Kali Avita Carbon Review

The Kali Avita Carbon helmet is a stunning looking helmet, that was comfortable, durable, and full of innovative safety designs and materials. Kali and POC are some of the protection companies that are at the forefront of a new wave of helmet safety performance, and the aptly named Avita, which in Sanskrit means "protected" certainly defines their focus.
